Ashley Barnes is ready for a first team return at Burnley.

Barnes hasn't figured in the Premier League since New Year's Day following hernia surgery.

But the striker completed the full 90 minutes in his second game in five days for the Clarets' Under-23s on Friday.

He said, "It's been a tough road, but I've come out the other side now, which is good.

"There was always just something there a little bit, but we've got there in the end.

“I'm just eager now."
