Arturo Vidal tells Barcelona fans: I'm a barrio player; I leave it all on the pitch

Barcelona signing Arturo Vidal admits he can't wait to play at the Nou Camp.

The former Bayern Munich has never played competitive football at Barca's home stadium.

"At Camp Nou I've never been able to play, when I stepped on the pitch for the first time it was incredible. I hope to score in order to feel the appreciation of the people. I want the games to start so I can change in this dressing room," said Vidal.

"I'm a barrio player, it's nice that people think about me, I come from a lot of effort and I want to show everyone where I come from. I have earned it all on the field, I feel proud because I could achieve this against everything, you can see it reflected on the field: I leave everything on the grass because nothing has been easy for me.

"When I was little I lived in a dangerous neighborhood. A very tough childhood, my mother took care of the five brothers alone, she sacrificed a lot and thanks to her I can now give her a better life. I could not sign for Colo Colo until I was 12 years old, the first time I tried, we did not have enough money for the trips and the equipment; the money we needed at home."
