Arteta set to add Cazorla to his Arsenal backroom staff

Arsenal could be getting a new coaching team in the coming weeks.

Many reports in England suggest that Mikel Arteta will be named as the club's new manager. He is set to succeed Arsene Wenger, who departed after 22 years in charge.

And the Independent reports that Arteta would like to add current Arsenal player Santi Cazorla to his backroom staff.

Cazorla is out of contract this summer. His injury situation means that he is unlikely to play at the top level again. But Arteta would be happy to have him on the coaching staff.

Having been linked to the likes of Massimiliano Allegri and Luis Enrique to take over the manager's position, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal opt for the huge gamble of appointing the untested Arteta.
