Everton boss David Moyes is confident Mikel Arteta will play again this season.

The Spanish midfielder is still recovering from a troubling knee injury.

Moyes said: "I think two months is where we are at the moment. We have had so many false dawns on it that we really wouldn't know where to start.

"He gets checked by the specialist in Spain this week, hopefully for the last time, he is training and looking quite good.

"He's not joining in, but the knee is looking quite strong again so we are confident we are on the road to recovery. Will it be one or two months? I don't know."
