Arsenal's Simpson happy with QPR experience

Arsenal striker Jay Simpson says he's happy with his loan move to QPR.

Simpson admits he could have stayed with the Gunners and fought for his place in the first-team. However, he says he benefited hugely from a similar loan spell at West Brom last season and wanted to play regular football again.

He said: "I could have stayed to fight for my place [at Arsenal] but I got used to playing regularly for West Brom and I wanted more of that.

"I didn't want to go back to playing a game here and there, or playing for the reserves, so I was ready to go on loan again. I am here to play football matches, win football matches and score goals - simple as that."
