Jack Wilshere admits he's happy he stayed with Arsenal this season.
The young midfielder admits his rapid progress this season was somewhat unexpected.
"There had been talk of me going to Bolton again, but the boss saw me in pre-season and wanted me to stay and that I was going to play here," Wilshere said.
"There was no bit of me that thought I was going to play this much, but I am delighted and hopefully it will carry on."
Wilshere, though, is not resting on his laurels.
"In this squad there are players in your position who are ready to take your position, so you have got to perform week in and week out," he said.
