Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey admits he suffered is horror leg-break just as he was feeling established in the Gunners midfield.
Ramsey, capped 11 times by Wales, was well on the way to establishing himself as a key man in the Arsenal midfield before the tackle by Ryan Shawcross which left him with fractures to the tibia and fibula in his right leg.
He scored his first league goal for the Gunners in a 4-1 win over Portsmouth in August, and also claimed his first international strike in a 2-0 win over Liechtenstein in October.
"I was feeling very good," he said. "I thought I was just starting to play more games back to back so it was probably my best little spell I've had so far - and then the injury had to happen.
"But you can't dwell on things like that. You have to just forget about that and move on. Hopefully I can get through this as quick as possible."
