Arsenal loanee Ainsley Maitland-Niles's eye-catching display in Ipswich Town's 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday has left the club's manager Mick McCarthy singing his praises.
The 17-year-old provided Ipswich with plenty of spark across the midfield, leading McCarthy to speak highly of Maitland-Niles and fellow loanee, Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser after the match.
“It's just a shame they're not ours. But they are for a year. And let's hope we can made the most of them. At the minute we are," McCarhty said.
“I think they're both outstanding talents and it's lovely that we've got them, so thanks to both clubs for letting us have them." McCarthy wasn't the only one offering glowing reviews of Maitland-Niles' performance, with Ipswich fans also praising the young star on Twitter.
