Arsenal remain interested in Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi, according to reports.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the German centre-half since Per Mertesacker was ruled out for around five months with a knee injury.
Mustafi's has been one name high on Arsene Wenger's list of prospective defenders and while he has admitted to wanting the 24-year-old, he insists no deal is in place at this point in time.
"We have not closed any deal with anybody at the moment," said Wenger after Arsenal defeated Chivas de Guadalajara 3-1 in California on Sunday evening.
"That is basically the answer. If you speak about Mustafi or anyone else, we haven't concluded anything.
"I can understand you want answers but I am not ready to come out on any names."
