Serge Gnabry is likely to join Hertha Berlin on loan from Arsenal.
Sky Sports is reporting that the German winger will make a season-long loan move to the Bundesliga in a bid to further his development in a first-team environment.
Gnabry, 21, spent last season on loan with West Bromwich Albion but struggled with form and fitness and made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to tie the talented attacking midfielder down to a new contract before letting him leave on loan and it is believed that Hertha are expecting an answer on their loan request.
Gnabry, who is also wanted by promoted German outfit RB Leipzig, is currently in Rio de Janeiro with the Germany U23 team as they prepare for the Gold Medal match against hosts Brazil at the Maracana on Saturday.
He has scored six goals alongside teammate Nils Petersen to lead the race for the Golden Boot, three clear of Barcelona star Neymar.
