Arsenal willing to commit £22M to close Leno deal

Arsenal will cough up £22m to sign Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The Gunners are set to announce the £22m signing of Leno in the next 24 hours.

BBC transfer guru David Ornstein tweeted: "Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.

"Not done but set to be decided today & expected 26-year-old will join #AFC - unclear which current GK would make way.

"Torreira pursuit ongoing - optimism but not done & #WorldCup delays it."

Unai Emery has made goalkeeper his first priority after taking over from Arsene Wenger.

Leno has years of Bundesliga with Leverkusen having made over 300 appearances since joining from Stuttgart in 2011.
