Arsenal won't give Real Madrid a free run at Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva. The Sun says Arsenal could try and hijack Real Madrid's bid for South American prodigy Lucas Silva.
The Spanish giants are reported to be making a bid for the Cruzeiro midfielder in January, but could be scuppered by the Gunners, who have had scouts watching him in recent weeks.
Brazilian starlet Silva attracted interest from Manchester United last season, but if anybody wants to take him from Madrid they need to make their move in January.
One report suggests Real wanted to pay £9.5million for him, while another suggests it will be a £12million fee.
