Arsenal are watching Steaua Bucharest defender Florin Gardos.

Bucharest sources say Arsenal and Inter Milan scouts have been regulars at Steaua games running the rule over the 22 year-old.

Gardos only joined Steaua last year and recently broke into the full Romanian national team.

At 6ft 4in, Gardos could handle the physical nature of the Premier League and also is good enough on the ball to play in midfield.
