After failing to secure Champions League qualification last season, Unai Emery will be looking to lead his side to a top four finish, and (or) secure the Europa League title after losing to London rivals Chelsea in the final last season.
In a bid to better their results from the previous campaign, though, the Gunners will need to bolster their ranks with some new players, so here's a look at five players the Gunners could sign before the end of the transfer window:
Kieran Tierney is one of Arsenal's main transfer targets as Unai Emery has identified the need for a new left-back going into the 2019/2020 Premier League season.
Arsenal stalwart Nacho Monreal is already past his prime and Sead Kolasinac has been underwhelming for Emery's side hence the need for a new left-back as the Gunners cannot afford to have any weak links in their squad as they look to push for a top four finish.
Arsenal, though, currently faces some competition from Napoli for Tierney's signature as the Naples based outfit are keen on replacing their current left-back Mario Rui with the 22-year-old.
Tierney is a modern day full-back who's capable of helping out in the final third with overlapping runs whilst also performing his defensive duties. He'd be an excellent addition to Arsenal's first-team set-up but it remains to be seen if they will beat Napoli to his signature.

Wilfried Zaha is one of the best forwards in the Premier League. He's got insane amounts of creativity, pace and he's also a great passer of the ball – It's hard to envisage him being at Crystal Palace once the transfer window closes.
Arsenal are keen on bringing Zaha to the Emirates Stadium but they are yet to reach an agreement with Crystal Palace over a fee for their star man as the Eagles currently value Zaha at £80m.
Should Arsenal manage to sign Zaha, they will have a solid chance of finishing within the top four as the Ivory Coast international introduces a new dynamic to their attack.

Ryan Fraser - Arsenal
Arsenal will reportedly turn their focus to Bournemouth winger, Ryan Fraser if they are unable to sign Wilfried Zaha. The Scotland international is reportedly available for £20m due to his contract running out in 12 months.
Fraser managed to bag 7 goals and register 11 assists for Bournemouth last season thus proving to be one of the most productive wingers in the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
The 25-year-old is fast, skillful and has great resale potential considering his current market value, some would even suggest that he's a better option than Zaha regardless of his price tag.

Nabil Fekir - Lyon
Nabil Fekir's stock has dropped tremendously since the summer of 2018 when he was highly sought-after by some of Europe's biggest teams, but despite the reduced interest in his services, Fekir remains a quality player capable of bolstering the attacking potential of any team.
Arsenal have a chance to sign Fekir for £30m, nearly half of what Liverpool were prepared to pay for his services last season – many Arsenal fans will be hoping Unai Emery jumps at the chance to sign him as he could become a key player for the Gunners in the 2019/20 season considering his skillset.

Over the past few seasons, Lucas Vazquez has built a reputation as a solid player for Real Madrid capable of putting in a great performance when called upon.
The Gunners have reportedly tabled a £31m offer for Vazquez. He might not be a 'big name' but he's a quality player who will undoubtedly improve Arsenal's attack should they manage to sign him.
The 28-year-old has been utilised as a rotation option for the better part of his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu – more than half of his appearances for Los Blancos last season came off the bench – It'll be interesting to see how he does as a first-team player at the Emirates.
