Arsenal to ward off Barcelona with new deal for Bellerin

Arsenal are determined to keep Hector Bellerin away from the prying eyes of Barcelona.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Gunners are desperate to tie down the talented right-back and have begun talks with his representatives regarding a new and improved deal.

Bellerin, 21, was closely watched by his former club last season and Arsenal fear that the Catalan giants could come in for his services, especially after it became apparent that Dani Alves is set to join Juventus.

Arsene Wenger is a massive fan of Bellerin, who made the Premier League Team of the Year, and hopes to keep him at the Emirates Stadium for the foreseeable future.

The Spain international is contracted with the North Londoners until 2019 and it is believed that club chiefs are confident he will commit at some point this summer, once his obligations with La Roja at Euro2016 are complete.
