Arsenal to open new contract talks with Lacazette and Aubameyang

Arsenal are ready to open new contract talks with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Daily Mail says talks are planned this summer to extend the contracts of the pair as Arsenal look to avoid further loss of key players.

Aubameyang as proved to be a major asset since his £56m move from Borussia Dortmund in January last year. The 29-year-old has two years left on his £190,000 a week contract. Arsenal want to extend it by two years and that would put 29-year-old Aubameyang in the £250,000 a week bracket.

A similar wage would be offered to France international Lacazette. The 27-year-old has scored seven goals fewer than his strike partner but he has proved an ideal complement. His deal expires in 2022.
