Arsenal to lose Tomiyasu for months

Arsenal are set to be without a key defender for the coming weeks in a blow to their title charge.

Right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu, who can also play as a left-back, has a calf problem.

He will now be out for the vital festive fixtures due to a calf strain, which was revealed in tests this week.

Per The Mail, Tomiyasu is set to miss their games against Aston Villa, Brighton, Liverpool, West Ham and Fulham.

With a timeframe of three to four weeks on the sidelines, Tomiyasu is out for the entire Christmas period.

He will then depart for the Asia Cup to represent Japan, which begins on January 12th.
