Arsenal are threatening Tottenham's plans for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The Mirror says Arsenal have gone ahead of their arch-rivals Tottenham in the race to sign Ceballos from Real Madrid.

Spurs have been in talks with Real for the midfielder.

The Gunners are interested in acquiring the forward on loan and the Spaniard has indicated that he wants to play 40 games next season.

Ceballos also wants a loan move as he believes he can use the forthcoming season to get games under his belt and have an impact at Real in the future.
