Arsenal target two more additions after Tavares swoop

Arsenal will launch a signing spree after closing their deal for Benfica wing-back Nuno Tavares.

The Mirror says manager Mikel Arteta has got his summer revamp at the Emirates up and running ahead of his bid to bring the Gunners back into European competitions.

And reports suggest another two arrivals are not too far away in north London, with deals for Brighton defender Ben White and Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga also said to be close.

White, who is currently away on international duty with England at Euro 2020, has been identified by Arsenal chiefs as a top defensive target following the departure of David Luiz this summer.

As for Lokonga, it is believed a £17million deal to bring him to the Emirates is on the verge of completion.

Arsenal have agreed to fork out an initial £15million to prise the 21-year-old away from Anderlecht, with a further £2million to come in add-ons.
