Arsenal target Arteta reluctant to leave Man City midseason

Mikel Arteta is reluctant to leave Manchester City midseason.

City assistant manager Arteta, 37, has again been tipped for the Arsenal job following Unai Emery's sacking, having been on the shortlist to replace Arsene Wenger 18 months ago.

Everton, another of the Spaniard's former clubs, are also on the lookout for a new manager after parting company with Marco Silva.

But Arteta has not discussed leaving the club since news of Emery and Silva's sackings emerged, says The Athtletic.

He is said to feel loyal to Pep Guardiola and feels he has a lot to gain by staying at the Etihad and learning his trade.
