Lorient striker Alexis Claude-Maurice is ready to reject Arsenal and move to Borussia Monchengladbach.

For Arsenal, Claude-Maurice has emerged as one of their main targets - in a summer when there is a tight budget at the Emirates - to add pace from out wide.

Arsenal have seen two bids rejected for the forward, who scored 14 goals in Ligue 2 last term.

Pressed on where he would like to play next season however, he stated that a switch to the Bundesliga,

"I want to join Gladbach [Borussia Mönchengladbach]. They are a club that focus on young players,"
