Arsenal have made a contract offer to Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.
Goal says Arsenal have offered to triple Partey's salary if he quits Atletico Madrid this summer, as the La Liga club desperately seek to the midfielder down to a fresh deal.
A £45million (€50m) release clause in his contract would appear to be out of Arsenal's price range but they may be willing to sell players to free up funds.
And with the Ghanaian having been established as Mikel Arteta's first-choice option as the Spaniard seeks a new holding midfielder, it appears Arsenal are willing to back the boss.
Partey earns £65,000 a week at the Wanda Metropolitano and Arsenal would be committing close to £200,000 a week if they were to triple that pay-packet.
