Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck was delighted with his brace in their Carabao Cup win over Brentford.
Welbeck admits they needed their two goal cushion in the first-half as they knew Brentford would fight back.
He said, "I'm happy with the goals, but more importantly I am happy that we have gone through to the next round and put in a good performance against a good side.
"We did our analysis on them and we knew they were a really good team, and the way that they play football is difficult for opponents so we had to make sure we got our pressing right, intercept balls and try to impose ourselves on the game.
"We got the two goals in the first half and towards the end of the second half, they played the ball much better and that made it difficult for us but we dug in and got the result."
