Arsenal striker Mika Biereth explains committing to Denmark

Arsenal striker Mika Biereth has pledged his international commitment to Denmark.

Biereth also qualifies for England and Germany.

Currently on-loan with RKC Waalwijk, the youngster said: "My father is half Danish and half German, and my mother is Bosnian. So I've had a little mix of countries.

"I then decided to play for Denmark last summer, where I had a few sessions with the U19 national team, and now I am here in Turkey with the U21 national team.

"I think it has something to do with my relationship with my father. He was the one who got me started in football in the first place. So it's probably about making him and that side of the family proud.

"But for me it wasn't like I wanted to play for Bosnia, Germany or England. I wasn't drawn to them. So I feel I have made the right decision now."
