Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette knows he's a target for Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.

While departing PSG centre-forward Edinson Cavani is Atletico's priority, Lacazette is their second choice should a Bosman deal fall through for the Uruguayan veteran.

Mundo Deportivo says Atletico's interest has been confirmed to Lacazette by good friend Antoine Griezmann.

The pair are close and Griezmann still has ties to Atletico despite leaving for Barcelona last summer.

Atletico have relayed via Griezmann their interest to Lacazette, who has also received positive advice about the Colchoneros from his France teammate.
