Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud can understand Thierry Henry taking a job with Belgium's coaching team.
Henry, who has been highly critical of Giroud, left a post with Arsenal's academy last season before taking up a role with Roberto Martinez's staff.p> Giroud commented: "If he wants to start a career as a coach or assistant, he must begin with a national team. Belgium is a strong nation of football today and I think it's a good experience for him.
"It is certain that all the French would have preferred he integrated primarily with a French team or the national team.
"Would he have chosen them over us? No, I do not think so. He went where there was a post. I do not have to say if it's good or not. I hope that in the future he will have a great experience with the team of France."
