Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he was confident in his ability after moving to the Premier League.

Many had wondered whether the Gabon striker could replicate his form in the Premier League, which he showed in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

But he has hit the ground running since January. And he is now the top scorer in the Premier League this season.

"Everybody knows it — I like to play up front, where I know that I can help the team. Sometimes the coach puts me on the left side but centre-forward is my favourite position," said Aubameyang to reporters after Arsenal's 4-2 win over Tottenham.

"Of course, I expected this [form]! Because the team have helped me to settle in good. It [ move to Arsenal] has gone well. I'm really happy here. We played like a team and we did well yesterday."
