Arsenal are in talks with Barcelona this morning over Cristian Tello.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who was in Spain earlier this month, wants Tello on-loan as cover for Theo Walcott, who is out for six months with a knee injury.

Barca are reluctant to release Tello, who struck a hat-trick in the Copa del Rey last week, but coach Tata Martino sees him as strictly backup for star attackers Neymar and Alexis Sanchez.

Much will depend on the player, himself, over whether a deal can be done today.
