Arsenal stepping up pursuit of Barcelona keeper Neto

Arsenal are pushing to secure Barcelona goalkeeper Neto this summer.

The Gunners are working hard on several transfer deals for manager Mikel Arteta as they seek to improve on last season's mid table Premier League finish.

According to Mundo Deportivo in Spain, Neto has been pushing for a move to Arsenal since January.

Barcelona are more receptive to a deal this summer, as they are looking to offload several first team players to lower their salary bill.

Neto, who made a £23.3 million move to the La Liga giants from Valencia in June 2019, wants regular first team football.

He would compete with Bernd Leno at Arsenal and is presently second choice to Marc Andre Ter Stegen at Barcelona.
