Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere was shocked to learn of the death of Australian cricketer Phil Hughes.
Hughes passed away at Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital surrounded by his family and close friends after remaining in a critical condition in an induced coma since being hit on the head by a bouncer earlier this week.
And Wilshere - who was today ruled out for up to three months with ankle ligament damage - has said the "horrible news" makes his injury woes look "like nothing".
