Arsenal are set to sign Runar Alex Runarsson as back up goalkeeper.

The departure of Emiliano Martinez means the Gunners want a reliable no.2 to German Bernd Leno.

Sky Sports reports Runarsson signing will also trigger the departure of Matt Macey.

The latter would like to stay if he his no.2, but that would not be the case if Runarsson arrives, and Macey could move somewhere on loan or permanently.

"His arrival could actually prompt third-choice keeper - who was actually No 2 on Saturday against Fulham - Matt Macey to find another club," Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth said on the Transfer Show.

"It's thought that Macey is considering his future at the Emirates."
