Arsenal have reportedly signed young midfielder Tim Akinola.

The 19-year-old was released by Huddersfield Town last month after struggling to break into the first-team.

However, The Athletic reports Arsenal have signed Akinola based solely on video analysis and not by watching him on trial.

The signing continues Arsenal's plan of recruiting development players between the ages of 18 and 21.

Akinola will line-up for the U23s next season and will be hoping to impress Mikel Arteta.

20-year-old winger George Lewis recently joined the club from the Norwegian third-tier.
