Arsenal SHOCKER: Wenger called Moss a CHEAT

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger allegedly called ref Jon Moss a "cheat" during victory over Burnley on Sunday.

The London Evening Standard says Wenger faces a touchline ban after calling referee Moss a “cheat" in a frantic end to Arsenal's 2-1 win over Burnley at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners boss was sent off after protesting furiously at Moss's decision to award Burnley a 93rd-minute penalty which Andre Gray converted to seemingly earn the visitors a point.

Wenger refused to leave the pitch and appeared to push fourth official Anthony Taylor as he tried to view the match from the tunnel.

The Frenchman eventually retreated and watched on television as Alexis Sanchez scored a 98th-minute penalty to earn a vital victory which moved Arsenal to second in the Premier League table.

The FA will wait for Moss's report before deciding on a course of action but Wenger can expect a similar reprimand to former Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew, who was fined £20,000 and banned for two matches when accepting a charge of improper conduct for shoving assistant referee Peter Kirkup when in charge of Newcastle in August 2012.
