Arsenal shares traded in wake of Kroenke purchase

More Arsenal shares were traded yesterday.

The Guardian says after Stan Kroenke took his shareholding in Arsenal to 29.6% on Tuesday, five more shares changed hands yesterday.

Significantly, each one had a £1,000 premium on Kroenke's top price of £8,500. Who took them on is unknown, but at that money it suggests someone is hoping to get a better price if a takeover is launched.

Alisher Usmanov, whose Red & White Holdings is approaching 26%, could be active again.
