Arsenal have been spotted in Germany scouting RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, according to Bild.

At 19, Konate has excelled in his 27 appearances for the Bundesliga club this season.

The Gunners are desperate for defensive signings and have identified Konate as a player with huge potential.

They aren't alone in their interest, however, with Chelsea and West Ham United having also scouted the Frenchman.

Konate joined Leipzig from Sochaux in the summer of 2017.
