Arsenal see Real Betis midfielder Fekir as Odegaard alternative

Arsenal see Real Betis midfielder Nabil Fekir as a potential alternative should they fail to sign Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal.

The Norwegian playmaker, who has been missing for the past few weeks with an ankle injury, has impressed greatly at the Emirates Stadium since arriving on loan from Real Madrid in January.

The Daily Mail says Arsenal have identified potential targets in their quest for an attacking midfielder, permitting they cannot land Odegaard.

Real Betis man Fekir is now an option that Arsenal are willing to pursue.

The France international came close to joining Liverpool in the summer of 2018 before the deal collapsed at the eleventh hour.

Now he could finally land his move to the Premier League with the Gunners now preparing a move.

Fekir has just one year remaining on his current deal with Betis, meaning the La Liga club could be forced to sell this summer.
