Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger still feels his side can be up there with the best despite getting set to lose captain Cesc Fabregas.
The Spaniard is likely to return home to Barcelona, with a deal imminent, but Wenger is remaining defiant about his young Gunners squad which he feels can still challenge for the title.
"We feel we were very close last year and that we can improve from what we achieved last year. We will be in there, don't worry," he said.
"Why? Because we are a young team and a young team can only get better."
And Wenger, who could also lose Samir Nasri this summer, is unsure if he will buy new players even though two of his best are on the way out.
"Do we want to buy? I don't know because at the moment we have too big a squad, we have too many players," he added.
