Arsenal's Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to Liverpool's Gerrard as mentor

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain admits he sees England captain Steven Gerrard as the player he most wants to emulate. "Stevie is a sensational player and one of my all-time favourites," Oxlade-Chamberlain told The Sun.

"I can take so much of what he does. That is my job - to try and get to a similar standard.

"That is easier said than done, but being able to train with him improves me as a player.

"It would be great to be selected for the World Cup but you have to work hard. That means I have to keep playing well for Arsenal."
