Gervinho has produced a late volley to see Ivory Coast get the better of Togo 2-1 at the African Cup of Nations.
The Group D fixture saw the Ivorians, runners-up last year, snatch all three points after the Arsenal striker turned the ball home in the 87th minute.
Manchester City star Yaya Toure opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Togo equalised through Brest striker Jonathan Ayite just prior to the break.
Toure managed to hit the post before Ayite's leveller whilst Tottenham's Emmanuel Adebayor missed an inviting chance for Togo inside two minutes with Ivory Coast keeper Boubacar Barry, who had been rounded, keeping the effort out with his fingertips.
Ivory Coast next take on Tunisia again in Rustenburg on Saturday, January 26 as Togo prepares to meet Algeria at the same venue on the same date.
