Arsenal's Fabregas worth less this summer - Barcelona's Rosell

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell believes Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is not as worth as much as he was last year. The Spanish midfielder is still being pursued by the Catalan giants, who were hot on his trail last summer, but this time around Rosell feels that €40million (£35m) is perhaps too expensive.

Barca were prepared to pay that price this time last year but it looks as though they will drop that if they are successful with their pursuits in the summer of 2011.

"If last summer we offered €40m for Cesc, and since there has been wear and tear, now he's worth less," Rosell said.

Fabregas did endure a few injuries last season which may have taken the gloss off but he still remains one of the top few midfielders in the Premier League.
