Arsenal risk missing out on Japanese trialist Rio Miyaichi.
The Daily Mail says the 17-year-old represented his country at the Under-17 World Cup last year and has been training with the Arsene Wenger's senior squad in an attempt to secure a contract offer.
However with one not yet forthcoming, the Japanese youth international will fly out later this week for a spell with Dutch giants Ajax.
Miyaichi produced a dazzling display in the club's 3-0 friendly win over non-league Boreham Wood on Tuesday night, watched by Wenger's assistants Pat Rice and Boro Primorac, as well as chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
The two-footed wide man tormented the opposing full-back with a combination of pace and power, and almost grabbed a goal, crashing an effort off the crossbar in the first half.
In the same match, Brazilian striker Wellington Silva made his Arsenal debut following a protracted summer move from Fluminense.
