Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has provided a disappointing update on the injury situation of Santi Cazorla.
Wenger revealed that the Spanish midfielder could miss the rest of the season after he suffered an Achilles injury during his recovery from a knee ligament problem.
"Santi is not doing too well," Wenger said.
"He has some Achilles problems that hold him back. His knee is doing well but his Achilles has inflamed a little bit and we have to put him off impact."
When asked about the possible return date for Cazorla, Wenger replied: "We have to see now how he responds. He had always a little tendonitis on his Achilles and we have to see how he responds to that."
The Spaniard hasn't played football since suffering the knee injury in November.
