And the Daily Mail claims manager Mikel Arteta wants Smith Rowe in the first team setup.

The Ligue 1 club were hoping to secure a permanent move for the attacking midfielder.

Smith Rowe has many admirers in England and Europe, but Arsenal hope he can make the step up to a regular first team member this season.

He was impressive on loan at Huddersfield Town in the second half of last season.
