The Uruguayan midfielder admitted last week that he was not enjoying living in London.

This prompted AC Milan to sound out the Gunners over a possible switch.

The Serie A club are set to appoint Torreira's former manager at Sampdoria, Marco Giampaolo.

However, Sky Sports says the north London club have no desire to let the tenacious midfielder leave after just one season.
