Arsenal are interested in signing RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano.

According to ESPN FC, the Gunners want to add a younger defender to ease the burden on their older centre-backs.

With transfer funds tight amid missing out on a Champions League spot, the Gunners will look at Upamecano, 20, as a gettable target.

They have not made an official bid, but it is imminent.

Upamecano has a contract until 2021, as he has not yet signed a renewal with Leipzig.

The centre-back helped his team to a Champions League place in the Bundesliga this season.
