Arsenal push Bayern Munich to drop Mandzukic price

Arsenal are unhappy with Wolfsburg's valuation for striker Mario Mandzukic. The London Evening Standard says Mandzukic has been one of the Gunners' principal transfer targets for some months and it appears certain the 28-year-old will leave Bavaria this summer after falling out with coach Pep Guardiola.

Mandzukic is thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League but Bayern value the Croatia international at about £20million, and he earns about £60,000 a week.

While the wages would not be a problem for Arsenal, the fee is a little higher than they believe he is worth.
