Arsenal prepared to break the bank to land Fiorentina striker Vlahovic this month

Arsenal are determined to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic before the January transfer window closes.

That is despite the need to outlay a significant amount of money to land the Serbian striker.

The Daily Mail says Arsenal must cough up £300,000-a-week (£160,000-a-week after tax) in wages on top of a £58m transfer fee.

These financial costs have not deterred the Gunners, who are desperate to sign a star striker this month.

Vlahovic is one of the most sought after forwards in world football after a stunning stint with La Viola.

Tottenham are another club who have been strongly linked to the 21-year-old, who has scored has scored 23 goals in 28 appearances this season.

Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin is another target for Arsenal.

However, Vlahovic remains their priority for the winter transfer window.
