Arsenal players harbouring resentment towards cashed-up trio Ozil, Mkhitaryan & Aubameyang

Discrepancies in pay is what is at the heart of Arsenal's dressing room divide, claims The Times.

The Gunners are enduring a horror period as they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat against Brighton on Sunday.

Mesut Ozil was rewarded with a new enormous £350,000-a-week contract in January. While Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were handed £200,000 and £180,000 contracts when they arrived in the winter window.

All the while, club stalwarts Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere have been unable to agree terms with the club. The latter has been handed a reduction in wages, which he has rejected.

Negotiations with Ramsey are also stalling, and it is expected he could leave the club in the summer for free.

The contracts of the aforementioned trio are believed to be causing resentment amongst some of their teammates, which is showing it's impact on the field.

The report also suggests that a meeting was held amongst players to resolve the problems on the pitch.
