Arsenal planning appeal for David Luiz red-card against Wolves

Arsenal are set to appeal the red card David Luiz received against Wolves in the Premier League on Tuesday, according to the Evening Standard.

Luiz got a straight red and gave away a penalty for a last man challenge when the Gunners were 1-0 up.

Replays did show slight contact between him and Willian Jose of Wolves, but the coming together appeared accidental.

"Well, on my understanding here I would say yes, let's go straight away because I think we have a big chance," said manager Mikel Arteta post-game about appealing the decision.

"But I don't know, we will speak to legal and the club and make the best decision of what to do.

"If you want to talk about the decision, I've just seen the replay 10 times in five different angles.

"I'm sitting here with you guys and I cannot see any contact. I would like to see if VAR has a different angle."
