Arsenal plan offer for PSG goalkeeper Alphonso Areola

Arsenal are interested in PSG goalkeeper Alphonso Areola.

The France international is currently on-loan with Real Madrid, though will be sent back to PSG once the season concludes. Real intend to name Andriy Lunin as understudy to Thibaut Courtois next season.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo says Arsenal are keen to sign Areola as competition for Bernd Leno. For their part, PSG are keen to do business.

Emiliano Martinez is currently backup to Leno, though the Argentine has declared he is ready to leave for first team football next term.

He said, "I'm open to everything, especially with this British stuff. I played in Argentina until I was 17 or 18. I'm never going to say no to the chance of coming back, maybe in two or three years I'll be looking forward to it."
